Illumine Playback Theater: Creative Arts Lent Giving Project
Saturday, March 21st | 7p-8:30p | LBCF
COST: Pre-sale $20 for adults, $10 for students, 5th grade and under FREE* | Childcare for additional $5 fee
WHO: This is an ALL PLAY night including children! Parents you decide if your kids will enjoy it - (most likely 3rd grade and above)
WHAT: Illumine Playback Theater is a liturgical improv troupe. Using improv game Playback - the audience share stories and they "Play" them back to life in front of us. Each performance begins with the Prayer of Examen and usually ends with a song. All along the way, the audience shares stories with one another, and the troupe, by answering simple pre-chosen questions...the creation is powerful. What they bring to our stories is holy, sacred, and fun!
WHY: Illumine Playback Theater invites the individual and community to tell stories from its own life. The act of sharing our stories humanizes us to one another and graciously reveals God's Adoption, Ambassador, and Abundant presence in each of us. Illumine Playback Theater is an embodied creative arts improv version of our Sunday morning storytelling slot!
Pre-Sale tickets are on sale now.! Please check out the event page (Illumine Theater Playback: Lent Giving Project) to learn more about the night/get tickets.
*100% of proceeds will go to our Lent Giving Project. Additionally, we will have a general bucket for donations, and possibly baked goods*/arts/crafts that are being sold to benefit the project. It's a great night to invite our friends and family outside of LBCF to the "theater" and to participate in giving back through our Lent Giving Project.
